The Band

Lead singer and songwriter, Khan was born in Belgium on 05 February 1978, started playing the guitar at age 17 – this is also when his journey of song writing began.

Kahn has always loved singing. He was always involved in some sort of musical production, be it at school or at church. In high school he auditioned to join a couple of bands. He got rejected. “Screw that, I’m going to start my own band.”  He realized that the only way he could do it on his own, was if he could play an instrument while singing.

Kahn says his favourite musicians are The Beatles, Paul Simon and Bob Dylan. “I think Bob Dylan has a genius mind.”

Backing Vocals, bass and pianist, member Glenn is Paul’s Brother.

Glenn and Paul learnt to do their spider eyeliner when working on a university production of Shakespears As You Like It at Grahamstown’s national arts festival in 1997.

Drummer Neil and Kahn went to the same high school, but was only introduced to him in 1998 after hearing his songs.

The two realized they had a shared musical vision and decided to start a band together.

Keyboard and guitarist Paul is the second brother in the group.

Paul met Kahn at university. They were both thrown out of the library one day for playing guitar. This is when Kahn introduced Paul to Neil for a jam session. He liked the songs, and joined.
